PSLE 2026 results come out at 11am on Tuesday 24 November or Wednesday 25 November, and from 11.30am that day families have seven calendar days to submit up to six secondary school choices. Both dates are tentative on the Ministry of Education’s S1 Posting timeline, which also puts Secondary 1 posting results on Friday 18 December.

The 2026 PSLE marking exercise runs from 12 to 14 October, so marking ends today. The Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board confirms the release date only once every process is complete, and announces it through the media.
Results day
Results are released at 11am. A parent or child who cannot collect the results and the documents that come with them can nominate another adult on MOE’s proxy form.
Each child receives a personalised S1 Option Form and an Eligibility Letter with the results. The same information, including the child’s eligible Posting Group or Groups, appears in the S1 Portal when a parent logs in with Singpass.
Decisions before the school list
Three things can need an answer before any school is picked.
- Posting Group: a child eligible for two Posting Groups, such as 1 and 2 or 2 and 3, must pick one in the S1 Portal first. That choice applies to all six schools.
- Third Language: an eligible child must select Yes or No on the Third Language page.
- DSA-Sec: a child admitted through Direct School Admission cannot submit school choices, but may still need to indicate a Posting Group or Third Language. A child who was not successful submits choices as usual.
DSA-Sec families are at an earlier step this month: school preferences open from 19 to 23 October.
The seven-day window
The S1 Portal opens at 11.30am on results day and stays open 24 hours a day until 4.30pm on the last day.
Choices can also be submitted at the child’s primary school, which is open from 9am to 4.30pm on weekdays and closed at weekends. Up to six schools go in, in order of preference.
How posting is decided
Posting runs on academic merit. A child with a better PSLE score is considered first for the schools on the list, within the child’s Posting Group and subject to vacancies.
When two or more children with the same score compete for the last places in a school, the tie-breakers apply in this order: citizenship, with Singapore Citizens first, then Permanent Residents, then international students; the choice order of that school; and computerised balloting.
A child with no choices submitted is posted to a school with places left, based on the home address on record, after every child who did submit has been posted. That school may not be near home.
Posting results on 18 December
S1 posting results are due on Friday 18 December. They appear in the S1 Portal from 9am and go out by SMS, and primary schools also have them.
