Humanoid robots will fight on stage at *SCAPE on Wednesday night, 7 October, when ARC Night brings its pilot-controlled robot combat to Singapore during F1 week. The event runs from 6pm to 9pm at the *SCAPE Ground Theatre, Level 2, 2 Orchard Link, and includes the Singapore debut of EngineAI’s T800 heavyweight robot.

The robots do not fight on their own. Each pilot wears a full-body motion-capture rig, and the humanoid in the arena copies every movement in real time, so a punch or a kick on the robot starts as a punch or a kick by the person controlling it.
Two robots, two weight classes
The card has a lightweight and a heavyweight class.
- Lightweight: Unitree G1, 1.32m tall and 35kg. ARC has used this robot at its earlier events in New York and Chicago.
- Heavyweight: EngineAI T800, 1.73m tall and 75kg, appearing in Singapore for the first time.
At 75kg, the T800 weighs more than twice as much as the G1 and stands 41cm taller.
The people at the controls
ARC has named four pilots for the night. All four come from combat sports or online video rather than robotics labs.
- Sham, known as “The Indian Warrior”, has trained in Muay Thai since he was 12 and co-founded Gifted Fight Academy and Fight Therapy.
- Eric Lofstedt is a TikTok creator known for kung fu videos, who has appeared on Disney and on Netflix’s Triviaverse.
- Eugene Chung is a creator from Hawaii and New York who makes videos with robots.
- Lukas Leasure is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, head coach of Stronghold MMA and a ONE Championship judge.
