Tofu-based gelato brand TOFU G has rolled out a build-your-own toppings concept at its two newest outlets, Suntec City and Waterway Point, giving guests a self-serve station to customise their own cup.
The idea is simple: order any gelato, add the toppings bar for $2, then pile on as many of the 12 toppings as fit in the cup. There is no weighing or counting involved, so a fully loaded cup comes to a flat $10 regardless of how much guests choose to add.
A Korean-leaning spread of toppings
Rather than the usual dessert-bar staples, the selection draws from the Korean snack aisle. Alongside nuts, dried cranberries and marshmallow sprinkles, guests will find injeolmi, joripong and yakgwa, plus tempeh chips for a savoury, soy-based note that echoes the tofu base underneath.
The full line-up spans three groups: nuts (almond slices, pecans, walnuts, pistachio kernels and roasted peanut chunks), Korean snacks (injeolmi, joripong, rice crispy puffs and yakgwa), and a sweeter set of dried cranberries, tempeh chips and marshmallow sprinkles. Five of the 12 toppings are nut-based, and the bar is a shared, open-service station, so guests with allergies or dietary restrictions should check with staff before adding toppings.
Two outlets, two different rooms
Both outlets share the same idea of a calm Korean room set inside a busy mall, done up in timber and warm, low lighting, but the layouts differ. At Suntec City, a glowing island counter sits in the middle of the food hall with its own low cushion seating alongside, easy to spot and easy to sit down at.
At Waterway Point, TOFU G occupies a full storefront that opens onto the walkway, with the counter and toppings bar visible from outside. Guests settle onto woven floor cushions on a raised platform, which suits a longer stop after a stroll around the mall.
Opening special and gelato line-up
To mark the new concept and the Suntec City opening, customers who purchase any gelato and show that they follow @tofug.sg on Instagram can enjoy all 12 toppings for free, valid at Suntec City only from 19 to 25 September 2026.
Five gelato flavours are served at both outlets: Vegan Tofu, High-Protein Tofu, Vegan Black Sesame, Rich Chocolate and Pistachio. Each outlet also carries one flavour of its own, with Chodang Sweet Corn Gelato exclusive to Waterway Point and Pomegranate Gelato exclusive to Suntec City. All flavours can be paired with the toppings bar.
It is a fitting addition to a growing scene of Korean-inspired snacking concepts popping up in Singapore malls this year, and joins other gelato launches giving dessert lovers more reasons to customise their scoop.
TOFU G Suntec City is located at #B1-K5, while TOFU G Waterway Point is at #01-53. Both outlets are open daily from 11am to 10pm.
