Over 2.4 million adult Singapore citizens will receive S$400 to S$600 under the Enhanced Budget 2026 Cost-of-Living Special Payment from 9 September 2026, govbenefits.gov.sg confirms.

You need to be a Singapore citizen residing in Singapore, aged 21 or older in 2026, with Assessable Income for Year of Assessment 2025 of up to S$100,000, and own no more than one property. No application is required.
How much by AI and AV
The amount follows Assessable Income and the Annual Value of your place of residence on the govbenefits table.
If AI is up to S$22,000, you get S$600 when AV is up to S$15,000, S$500 when AV is more than S$15,000 and up to S$31,000, and S$400 when AV is more than S$31,000.
If AI is more than S$22,000 and up to S$39,000, the amounts are S$500, S$500 and S$400 across the same AV bands. If AI is more than S$39,000 and up to S$100,000, the payment is S$400 in every AV band.
