Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong is in Bangkok on Wednesday (Sep 2) for the Singapore-Thailand Leaders’ Retreat with Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) set out the programme in a press release on Tuesday (Sep 1). It will be the first Leaders’ Retreat between Mr Wong and Mr Anutin.
AGENDA
The leaders will review long-standing defence and economic cooperation and explore new collaboration in the green and digital economies, energy resilience, food security and combatting transnational crime. They will also exchange views on international and regional developments.
SINGAPORE DELEGATION
Mr Wong is accompanied by Mrs Wong, Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu, Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli, and Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo.

WHAT IS CONFIRMED
PMO’s Tuesday statement confirms the date, host, agenda themes and the Singapore ministerial party. Outcomes, including any memoranda of understanding, were not listed in that release and are expected to be announced after the retreat.
