The Team
Singapore Gymnastics officially announced the eight-strong squad on 15 June 2026. In Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG), the selected athletes are Jovi Loh, Asher Pua and Abdulattif Abdul Barr. The Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) team comprises Amanda Yap, Emma Yap, Emma Goh, Alena Tan and Charlotte Phoon.
The selection — five women and three men — reflects the depth Singapore has built across both disciplines in recent years. The federation’s selection process is rigorous, with only athletes who meet the highest performance benchmarks considered for major games representation. The Games opened today, 23 July 2026, with Singapore’s flagbearers at the Opening Ceremony being swimmer Gan Ching Hwee and para bowler Mawjit Singh s/o Gurmet Singh. Gan, competing in her first Commonwealth Games, called the honour one that “means a great deal” to her. What Singapore’s Gymnasts Will Be Competing In
Artistic gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games features events across multiple apparatus. The men’s programme includes the floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar — with individual apparatus finals, an all-around competition and a team event. Women compete on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise, with comparable individual finals and an all-around.
Singapore has historically shown strong potential in the women’s discipline, and all eyes will be on the WAG squad — particularly sisters Amanda and Emma Yap, who have represented Singapore across the international competition circuit. The MAG trio of Loh, Pua and Abdul Barr, meanwhile, will be determined to make their mark in what for some will be a first Games appearance.

At Birmingham 2022, Team Singapore delivered an impressive 12 medals — four gold, four silver and four bronze — across multiple sports.
