The Malt Affair Vol. X: Singapore’s Biggest Whisky Festival Returns on 5 September 2026

The Malt Affair is going bigger than ever. Vol. X — the tenth edition of Singapore’s annual whisky festival — arrives on 5 September 2026 at the Amara Singapore Ballroom, bringing together exhibitors from 10 countries and over 400 whiskies to discover.

Two Big New Features This Year

Vol. X introduces two new experiences. The Explorer Pass is a limited-release add-on that pairs admission with an exclusive flight of five rare whiskies — a curated tasting experience for those who want to go deeper. The second new addition is the Collectors’ Vault, a dedicated showcase of coveted bottles from exhibitors’ private collections, all available for acquisition only during the festival.

World-Class Guests: Geert Bero

For the first time, internationally recognised collectors and whisky personalities will take part. Headlining is Geert Bero — one of the world’s foremost Ardbeg collectors, who has spent nearly 30 years studying and preserving some of the rarest bottles in the whisky world. Through his company Oldies & Goodies, Bero will exhibit bottlings from his personal collection and lead two exclusive masterclasses, including one exploring legendary Moncreiffe bottlings.

Accessible Pricing

Drams start from S$5, with around 70% of pours priced below S$50 — keeping the festival accessible to newcomers and seasoned maltheads alike. “At its heart, it has always remained a festival by maltheads, for maltheads,” says co-founder Billy Tham. “Many of our exhibitors are collectors first, sharing bottles they personally treasure simply because they want others to experience them.”
