Sentosa is about to get a whole lot bigger — and bolder. The Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has unveiled the Greater Sentosa Master Plan (GSMP), a sweeping vision to transform the island into an even more compelling destination for Singaporeans and visitors alike, with plans that stretch all the way to 2040.

Brani Joins the Fold
The most significant change? Pulau Brani will come under Sentosa’s fold, unlocking vast new spaces for next-generation experiences, attractions and hotels. This expansion sets the stage for Greater Sentosa to become a fully integrated island destination unlike anything else in the region.

New Landmarks on the Horizon
The GSMP introduces several exciting new landmarks designed to deepen Sentosa’s identity as Singapore’s island playground and sanctuary. Among the highlights are the Imbiah Canopy, Imbiah Lookout Walk and the Sensorium — all conceived to give visitors distinctive reasons to return across different times of day and at different seasons of life.

Beaches Reimagined
Sentosa’s beaches are getting a major rethink. The GSMP envisions a unique islet-hopping experience alongside new beach club concepts centred around sunrise and sunset views — all while incorporating important coastal protection measures. The goal is to make Sentosa’s coastline not just more beautiful, but more resilient and experientially diverse.

Getting There Gets Easier
Connectivity to and within Greater Sentosa will see a serious upgrade. The plans include an envisioned Island Heart Transport Hub and a new People Mover System, improving access by land, air, sea and waterfront. Less time getting there means more time enjoying everything the island has to offer.

A Long-Term Vision for Singapore’s Island Playground
The GSMP builds on SDC’s longstanding mandate to develop, manage and promote Sentosa as a premier leisure destination. With this master plan, SDC aims to enhance Singapore’s overall destination appeal — strengthening nature, heritage, coastal and green spaces so that Sentosa remains a place where visitors can play, gather, slow down and reconnect.
For Singaporeans, this is our island — and its best chapter is still being written. Catch the free exhibition at VivoCity or at a mall near you, and be part of shaping what comes next.
