The Hari Brand to Open Its Third Hotel in Singapore in Spring 2027, Transforming the Orchard City Centre Holiday Inn

Singapore’s hotel scene is about to welcome a new name from an established family. Harilela Hotels has announced that Singapore will be the third home for its luxury brand The Hari, following the existing properties in London’s Belgravia and Hong Kong’s Wan Chai. The Singapore outpost is set to open in spring 2027.

The property will see the current Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre at 11 Cavenagh Road transformed into a 326-bedroom luxury hotel complete with a rooftop pool, executive lounge, dining and wellness experiences, and the brand’s signature revolving rota of artwork. It is a considered choice of location — steps from Orchard Road, nestled in the heart of Singapore’s most storied hospitality corridor.

The Hari Brand: Eccentricity, Culture and Genuine Hospitality

The Hari first opened in London in August 2016, followed by Hong Kong in December 2020. Both properties are known for a distinctive aesthetic — contemporary elegance offset by wit, cultural depth, and a genuine warmth that avoids the sterility of typical luxury hotels.

“This hotel, like our sister properties in Belgravia and Wan Chai, will embody relaxed elegance punctuated by eccentricity, wit, culture and genuine heartfelt hospitality,” said Dr. Aron Harilela, founder of The Hari brand. “Singapore is key to our ambition to evolve The Hari in major international destinations.”

Tara Bernerd Brings Her Vision to Singapore

British designer Tara Bernerd — whose vision shaped both The Hari London and The Hari Hong Kong — will again lead the interior design for the Singapore property. Known for layered interiors that balance sophistication with a strong sense of place, Bernerd’s approach promises to reflect Singapore’s cultural character without falling into pastiche. Expect something that feels both international and distinctly rooted here.

The Harilela Group, established in 1959, is still wholly family-owned. It is the parent company of Harilela Hotels, which owns 15 properties across Hong Kong, China, Asia, Europe, and the US. The Singapore property will mark the group’s first foray into the Lion City’s luxury hotel market under its own brand.

What to Expect

Beyond the rooftop pool, The Hari Singapore will offer an executive lounge, dining concepts and wellness facilities. A signature feature of all Hari properties is a rotating collection of curated artwork — a programme that ensures the hotel feels alive and ever-evolving rather than static. Exact dining and wellness details are expected to be announced closer to the opening.

The Hari Singapore will be located at 11 Cavenagh Road, Singapore 229616, with a spring 2027 opening target. More details at thehari.com.
