Heroic Moves is SCCC’s free travelling exhibition on Chinese martial arts in Singapore popular culture. It runs across multiple public venues from April to October 2026, with text in English and Chinese.
The exhibition traces how Chinese martial arts appeared in newspapers, movies, comics and television drama serials from the 1960s to the present. SCCC says it features more than 60 objects and images.

What It Covers
The exhibition looks at the fantasy and values attached to wuxia and martial-arts storytelling: lightness skills, pressure-point strikes, concealed weapons and the chivalrous world that turned these ideas into familiar pop-culture language.
It is suitable for visitors with no age limit, so it can work as a quick family stop at a mall or library rather than a formal museum day.
Planning Notes
Opening times vary by venue, so check the mall or library hours before going. Two school stops are listed but are not open to the public, so the public route is better built around Junction 8, Jurong West Public Library, ITE College West Library and Tampines Regional Library.
Because the exhibition travels, pick the location that already fits your errands instead of crossing the island solely for a short display.
