Event Details

What The Performance Uses

Winderen records underwater environments with hydrophones, including crustacean sounds, fish interactions and marine-mammal vocalisations. For this performance, ArtScience Museum says she will use the Oculus and its 360-degree system as a resonant architectural space.

Some sounds that begin outside normal human hearing are transposed into audible ranges, allowing the audience to experience marine communication and interference as a live composition.

Weather Note

The programme is presented in an uncovered outdoor area. ArtScience Museum notes that the performance may be delayed, stop-started or cancelled in inclement weather if conditions are unsafe for the artist, crew or attendees.

That makes registration and day-of weather checking important, especially if you are travelling into Marina Bay just for the performance.
