City of Others Catalogue is a National Gallery Singapore publication on Asian artists in Paris from the 1920s to 1940s, and it won Best Illustrated Non-Fiction Title in the Singapore Book Awards 2026.
What The Book Covers
The 380-page catalogue studies artists including Foujita Tsuguharu, Sanyu, Xu Beihong, Georgette Chen and Le Pho, with research on art, dance and design in interwar Paris. It includes close to 200 artworks, 100 archival images and selected primary-source translations.
