Finally Seeing 831 Live Concert!

Getting In: The Nitty Gritty 👮‍♂️
We arrived early because, well, the anticipation was killing us! The concert was scheduled to run from 7:00 PM to 10:15 PM, giving us a solid block of rock.

Security was tight but efficient. Just a heads up for future concert-goers:

  • Bag checks are standard.

  • No sweets allowed! (Leave the candy at home, guys).

  • Empty bottles only. You have to fill up inside.

  • Interestingly, there were no metal detectors this time, just thorough manual checks.

Once inside, we grabbed some hydration because we knew we’d be shouting. A bottle of mineral water set us back $3.50. Standard concert prices, right? 😅

Hey guys! Don’t say I never share the good stuff with you! After waiting since September 2025 when we first snagged our tickets, the day finally arrived. On December 7th, we headed down to the Singapore Indoor Stadium for a night of rock, nostalgia, and serious vibes with the Taiwanese pop-rock legends, 831 (八三夭)!

The Crowd & The Lucky Seat Upgrade! 🎫

Looking around, the crowd was such a cool mix! We saw everyone from 20-somethings to folks in their 50s. There were huge groups of friends, families, and even middle-aged couples rocking out together. It really shows how 831’s music crosses generations.

Now, here is the absolute highlight of our arrival: We originally bought CAT2 tickets, but because the venue wasn’t fully packed, we got relocated!

  • Check it out! We were moved to seats with a way nicer view, much closer to the stage and the screens.

  • Sometimes it pays to be lucky! Being closer meant we could see every expression on the band members’ faces.

The Show: “East Side” Energy! ⚡

When the lights went down at 7 PM, the energy was electric. It was so good to finally hear the live songs without restrictions. Everyone was shouting, cheering, and just letting go.

Seeing the members—A Pu (Lead Singer), A Dian, Xiao Ju, Liu Bi, and Ba Tian—live on stage is a different beast compared to listening on Spotify. A Pu’s vocals were on point, and the band’s chemistry was explosive. They played all the bangers we were waiting for:

  • “Young Guns” (致青春) got the nostalgia flowing.
  • “East Side” (東區東區) turned the stadium into a giant dance floor.
  • “A Rock Can Be A Star” (我不需要每一个人都爱我) was a powerful anthem for anyone who feels like an underdog.
  • “Why I Cried” (我怎麼哭了)… okay, I admit, I almost teared up.

I think 831 Live Concert! this year has outdone its previous performance. No regrets!

The Moment We Waited For: Miss You 3000 😭

Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without the mega-hits. When the opening chords of “Miss You 3000” (想見你想見你想見你) hit, the whole stadium erupted. Hearing thousands of people sing that chorus together? Absolutely awesome.

They also crushed “The Great Nobody”, fitting perfectly with the tour’s theme of succeeding against the odds.

Final Verdict 🤘

It was a fantastic evening. From the lucky seat upgrade to the sheer energy of A Pu and the boys, the 831 “Nobody Can Fly” concert was exactly what we needed to close out 2025. It was loud, emotional, and totally worth the wait since September.

Trust me on this one, if 831 comes back to Singapore (hopefully sooner than 3 years next time!), you need to grab a ticket.
