Verandah SG61 Brunch Buffet: Cost and Menu Guide

Verandah Rooftop Rotisserie’s SG61 brunch buffet runs from 8 to 10 August 2026, noon to 3pm, at S$61++ per adult and S$32++ per child aged six to 11. Children aged five and below dine free, according to the hotel’s live offer. For a diner deciding whether to book, the useful question is not whether the menu sounds celebratory; it is what the table will actually cost, whether the dishes fit the group and whether the August-birthday condition is clear enough before payment.

The operator’s SG61 offer page controls dates, prices and the birthday promotion. Its linked one-page buffet menu controls the advertised dishes. Both were re-opened on 27 July 2026. LBRD did not dine at this buffet and does not treat menu photography or hotel descriptions as a taste review.

The booking facts in one place

Decision item Published detail What to verify
Event dates 8–10 Aug 2026 Your chosen date still has the SG61 menu
Service window 12 noon–3pm Last arrival and buffet-clearance time
Adult price S$61++ Final charge shown at booking or billing
Child price S$32++ for ages 6–11 Proof of age, if requested
Younger children Free for age 5 and below Whether a seat must still be reserved
August birthday offer One August-born diner complimentary with every three full-paying adults Eligibility, ID, stacking and reservation terms
Venue Verandah Rooftop Rotisserie, Level 7, Momentus Hotel Alexandra Exact entrance and accessibility route

The birthday sentence above follows the hotel’s wording. The public offer does not state whether the complimentary diner must be an adult, whether the birthday diner counts among the group of four, which ID is accepted or whether the offer can be combined with other benefits. Those are material gaps, so ask the restaurant to confirm them in writing rather than filling them with an assumption.

What “S$61++” means for the bill

IRAS’s hotel and food-and-beverage GST guidance explains that GST is calculated on the amount including a service charge. If the restaurant applies the common 10% service charge and the current 9% GST, the arithmetic is base price × 1.10 × 1.09. The table below is LBRD’s calculation, rounded to the nearest cent; the restaurant’s bill and any live terms control.

Example table Base amount Estimated total Calculation
One adult S$61 S$73.14 61 × 1.10 × 1.09
One child aged 6–11 S$32 S$38.37 32 × 1.10 × 1.09
Two adults + one child aged 6–11 S$154 S$184.65 154 × 1.10 × 1.09
Two adults + two children aged 6–11 S$186 S$223.01 186 × 1.10 × 1.09
Three paying adults + one complimentary August birthday diner S$183 S$219.42 183 × 1.10 × 1.09

That last line is a scenario, not a confirmed offer interpretation. If the fourth diner qualifies, the estimated effective cost is S$54.86 per diner across a four-adult table. If the hotel applies the complimentary place differently, the total changes. Drinks, special orders and other add-ons are not included in any calculation.

Read the menu by eating priority

The menu is broad enough that a guest can build very different meals. LBRD grouped the published dishes by decision value rather than copying the list as promotional prose:

If your priority is… Start with… Trade-off
Rotisserie signatures Vanilla-scented crispy siu yok, Spanish Duroc black-truffle pork-belly char siew, 72-hour dry-aged roast duck Rich meats can crowd out the wider buffet
Peranakan and local mains Ayam buah keluak, beef-cheek rendang, assam tiger prawns, blue-pea nasi lemak Some dishes may be spicy or contain nuts, seafood or other allergens
Hawker-style variety Ngoh hiang, popiah, kueh pie tee, rojak, satay, laksa DIY and live stations may develop queues
Desserts Mao Shan Wang durian pengat, cempedak crème brûlée, chendol panna cotta, orh nee Durian and cempedak are distinctive, not neutral crowd-pleasers
Young children Nuggets, beef-meatball pasta, Margherita pizza and fries at the kiddy’s corner A children’s section does not establish allergy suitability

This map is an editorial planning tool derived from the official menu. It does not claim that every tray will be continuously available or that a named dish has been tasted. A buffet can substitute or replenish dishes according to operations; diners booking for one must-have item should ask the restaurant about availability.

Who is this buffet a good fit for?

  • A multigenerational National Day lunch: the published spread covers roast meats, local classics, desserts and a small children’s selection. Confirm high chairs, seating and dietary needs when reserving.
  • A four-adult group with one August birthday: the headline offer may materially reduce the per-person cost, but only after the restaurant confirms the ambiguous terms.
  • A diner focused on heritage dishes: compare the exact menu with what the group will eat; a long list is not value if several people avoid the central ingredients.
  • Not a good fit: anyone needing guaranteed allergen separation, a short meal or a quiet à la carte format should not infer those conditions from the offer page.

For another SG61 local-food format, the Ah Pui Teochew porridge buffet guide covers a different venue and price proposition. Readers comparing hotel buffets more broadly can use our Seasonal Tastes cost guide, while checking that its separate dates and card terms still apply.

Five questions to settle before reserving

  1. Is the SG61 buffet attached to the exact 8, 9 or 10 August seating selected?
  2. For the August-birthday offer, who counts as a full-paying adult and which diner’s meal becomes complimentary?
  3. What ID, advance notice or booking code is required, and can the offer stack with membership or card benefits?
  4. Can the kitchen safely manage each allergy or dietary restriction, including cross-contact at shared stations?
  5. What are the cancellation, no-show, last-arrival and buffet-clearance terms?

The venue page asks guests to mention dietary restrictions or special requests when reserving and recommends that large groups book at least one week ahead. That is an operating request, not a guarantee that every request can be met.

Bottom line

The clearest value case is a group that actively wants the menu’s Mod-Sin roasts and local dishes, can use the full three-hour window and receives written confirmation of any birthday benefit. Without the promotion, budget about S$73.14 per adult and S$38.37 per child aged six to 11 under the stated charge assumptions. Do not book solely for a dish that may be substituted or for a complimentary place whose public conditions are incomplete.

Reporting note: Offer page, menu PDF and IRAS charge guidance re-opened 27 July 2026. Calculations are labelled LBRD arithmetic. LBRD did not attend or taste the buffet, received no commission for this guide and included no affiliated-business CTA.
