Torimitsu, a 13-seat yakitori counter in Tokyo’s Kagurazaka, is coming to Singapore for a three-month pop-up on the balcony of Tanuki Raw at Orchard Central from 28 October 2026. Tanuki Raw has opened bookings for a S$59.80 set of eight skewers, chicken ramen and dessert.

The chef is Takuhei Yamada, who opened Torimitsu in 2022. He trained in washoku, the broader tradition of Japanese cooking, in Akasaka from 2007, then farmed and ran his own inn on Okinoerabu Island in Kagoshima before turning to yakitori. He has cooked Japanese food for 26 years, and Tanuki Raw describes his Kagurazaka counter as famously hard to book.
Yamada and his team will cook on the Orchard Central balcony for the full three months.
What the S$59.80 set covers
Every guest has to order the eight-skewer omakase. The skewers change daily and are the chef’s choice, so there is no fixed list to pick from. The set then moves on to a bowl of chicken ramen and finishes with dessert.
Extra skewers can be added on top, and the regular Tanuki Raw menu is also available, but neither replaces the set. Tanuki Raw has not said whether the S$59.80 price is nett or subject to service charge and GST.
Fifteen seats, outdoors
The pop-up seats 15 guests at a time on Tanuki Raw’s fourth-floor balcony, around a 150kg charcoal grill that sits in full view. The balcony is sheltered from rain and fitted with fans, and the restaurant asks diners to dress for a warm evening.
Bookings are taken from 6pm, and the pop-up runs until 10pm each night. Tables are held for 15 minutes past the booking time. Cancelling less than four hours ahead costs S$20 a person, and corkage is S$50 a bottle.
