Singapore Airlines’ First Class SilverKris Lounge at Changi Airport adds full-service dining from Wednesday 28 October, with menus and table service running alongside the existing buffet. It is the last piece of a refreshed ground routine for Suites and First Class passengers, which also covers a personal concierge, buggy rides to the gate and a faster security lane at Terminal 3, as set out by the airline in a SilverKris feature published on 19 October.

What changes in the lounges
From 28 October, the First Class SilverKris Lounge serves full-service dining as well as its buffet line. Staff trained in mixology and barista skills run the bar, and The Private Room keeps its own personalised dining service.
“A dedicated training programme was developed to equip staff with the skills needed to deliver the new premium experience,” explains Ooi Chuin Ling, SIA’s senior vice-president for customer services and operations.
The à la carte menu is new across the First Class and Business Class SilverKris Lounges and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, with dishes drawn from Singapore’s food culture and child-friendly meals added. The First Class lounge also gets refreshed bread and live stations, gluten-free bread and desserts, and butter toast and eggs. The Business Class lounge buffet has been reorganised so it is easier to work through.
Bar and barista hours in the First and Business Class lounges now run from 5am to 2am, with new cocktails and a list of wellness drinks.
From kerb to gate
Suites and First Class passengers are met at the kerb by porters, then checked in at the First Class reception with a chilled hand towel. A concierge escorts them to immigration and the lounge. Buggy transfers to the departure gate are free but subject to availability.
Passengers leaving from gates A1 to A5 at Terminal 3 can use the Premium Security Screening Lane, open daily from 8.30am to 12.30pm and from 9pm to 1am. Solitaire PPS Club members can use it too. At other gates, staff help passengers through security.
Transit and arrivals
The concierge service, which SIA describes as end-to-end assistance, also covers passengers transiting through Changi, and those arriving on another airline who connect to an SIA Suites or First Class flight. Arriving Suites and First Class passengers are met by a concierge, taken to baggage claim and helped with onward travel.
Lounge access opens up to 24 hours before the flight. The concierge, buggy and security lane perks are for Suites and First Class passengers. The new menus reach the Business Class SilverKris Lounge and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge as well, and the longer bar hours cover both SilverKris Lounges.
