Sesame Street Magical Art World opens at Marina Square today, free with a S$20 spend

Sesame Street Magical Art World opens its second chapter at Marina Square today, Thursday 1 October, and runs to 31 December at Level 3, #03-153 to 155, near the L3 playground. Marina Square gives out a free 30-minute pass for a S$20 spend from Monday to Thursday, or S$30 from Friday to Sunday.

The exhibition is open daily from 12.30pm to 8pm. Organised with arts platform COEXIST, it fills a run of themed rooms with Sesame Street characters as reimagined by 12 artists from around the world, alongside interactive stations and photo spots.

How the free pass works

Show physical receipts at #03-153 to redeem a pass. Up to two same-day receipts from qualifying shops count towards the spend, and receipts from atrium fairs are excluded. Each visitor can redeem up to two passes a day, and each pass admits up to two people.

There are 11 time slots a day, subject to availability: 12.30pm, 1.15pm, 2pm, 2.45pm, 3.30pm, 4.15pm, 5pm, 5.45pm, 6.30pm, 7.15pm and 8pm. The exhibition opens a day before Children’s Day on Friday 2 October, when the weekend rate of S$30 applies.

Each child can pick up an activity booklet with challenges to complete along the route, and finishing it earns a limited-edition sticker of the artists’ work while stocks last. Pieces by the featured artists are sold at the retail counter.

Thermal flask and giant inflatables

From 1 October to 8 November, a S$100 spend on up to three same-day receipts gets an artist-designed 650ml (22oz) thermal flask, in designs by Super Future Kid or Rori Hee, while stocks last. Redemption is for Marina Square App members, one per member per day, and atrium fair receipts are excluded.
