Nobel Laureates Portrait Exhibition opens free at Gardens by the Bay on 6 October with AR displays

Gardens by the Bay puts portraits of Nobel Laureates by photographer Peter Badge on free public view in its Silver Garden from Tuesday 6 October to Sunday 11 October 2026. The exhibition opens from 1pm to 9pm on 6 October, then 10am to 9pm daily from 7 to 11 October.

The Nobel Laureates Portrait Exhibition is part of the Nobel Heroes & AI4SCI Summit Singapore 2026. Badge’s photographs are paired with augmented-reality content, holographic displays on transparent screens and a digital guide covering the people, ideas and personal stories behind some of the best-known scientific discoveries.

Admission is free. Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings is the host, and the organisers include Symbiosis Science.

A week of Nobel talks around it

The summit brings Nobel Laureates to Singapore for a two-day forum on artificial intelligence and science on 5 and 6 October. Day one is co-hosted with Nanyang Technological University and day two with Singapore Management University, and the forum is by invitation only.

Laureates on the forum programme include Sir Konstantin Novoselov, Professor Benjamin List, Professor Omar M. Yaghi, Professor Fred Ramsdell and Sir Christopher Pissarides. Their panels cover AI in new science, health and longevity, sustainable cities and the future of work.

An exhibition opening ceremony is held at Gardens by the Bay on the morning of 6 October, before the public hours start at 1pm.

Getting to the Silver Garden

Gardens by the Bay is at 18 Marina Gardens Drive. From Bayfront MRT station (CE1/DT16) on the Circle and Downtown lines, take Exit B and follow the underground linkway, then cross the Dragonfly Bridge or Meadow Bridge into the Gardens. Exit 1 of Gardens by the Bay MRT station (TE22) on the Thomson-East Coast Line leads straight in.

From Tanjong Pagar MRT station (EW15), bus 400 runs from stop 03223 at International Plaza to stop 03371 on Marina Gardens Drive. Drivers can use the open-air Bayfront Plaza car park next to the Bayfront Pavilion Entrance, which has 172 car lots and opens from 5am to 2am daily.

The Flower Dome is closed for maintenance on 6 October, the exhibition’s opening day.
