Mimmo Bakery Cafe: Hong Kong’s Beloved Pastry Concept Opens at Asia Square

Hong Kong’s beloved Mimmo Bakery Cafe is crossing the South China Sea to set up its first permanent home in Singapore — and it’s landing right in the heart of the CBD at Asia Square Tower 1.

Helmed by Le Cordon Bleu–trained Chef Domenico Giammarella, Mimmo is more than a bakery. The concept is shaped by the chef’s personal philosophy — a culinary journey rooted in seasonality, natural ingredients, and world-class technique that presents a contemporary dining experience inspired by craft and mindful eating.

From Hong Kong to Singapore

Mimmo first built its reputation as a Hong Kong pop-up concept, drawing queues for its pistachio bolo bao, egg tarts, and savoury café offerings. The Singapore outpost at #01-05, Asia Square Tower 1 marks its first permanent home — a full café experience where the menu expands to include build-your-own pasta bowls and beverages alongside its signature pastries.

Chef Domenico’s approach bridges science and artistry — a precision-driven, ingredient-first philosophy that he has refined across stints in Montreal, Toronto, and beyond before arriving in Asia with a clear vision for what modern café dining should feel like.
