SingLand announced the timeline on Tuesday (Sep 1), after receiving written permission from the Urban Redevelopment Authority under the Strategic Development Incentive scheme. The 9.2ha complex will add residences, a new hotel, serviced apartments and offices while the existing hotels stay open through construction.

WHAT IS BEING BUILT

Three new towers will be integrated with Pan Pacific Singapore, Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay and Mandarin Oriental Singapore. A 49-storey residential tower is planned for 204 luxury homes. A 24-storey block is planned for 260 serviced apartments. A 19-storey mixed-use block is planned for a 304-room hotel and about 13,000 sq m of Grade A office space.

MALL AND PUBLIC SPACE

The four-storey mall will undergo an asset enhancement covering more than 76,000 sq m of gross floor area and is intended to reconnect the hotels, offices, homes and public spaces. SingLand also described a 6,500 sq m public park above Stamford Canal, more than 4,000 sq m of privately owned public space linked toward NS Square, a 700 sq m event venue along Raffles Boulevard and a 300 sq m central atrium inside the mall. Overall gross floor area for the site is set to rise to about 362,493 sq m.

UNTIL MARCH 2027

SingLand chief executive Jonathan Eu said the redevelopment was a chance to reimagine Marina Square as a more connected destination, with the mall and public realm as shared platforms. The company said events will continue to support shopper traffic before the mall closes, and that it is working with stakeholders to keep hotel access clear during works. Operators for the new hotel and serviced apartments have not been named.
