Lights by the Lake at Jurong Lake Gardens runs 19 to 27 September 2026, free

Lights by the Lake returns to Jurong Lake Gardens from 19 to 27 September 2026, with lantern displays staying up until 4 October. Hours are 6.30pm to 10.30pm daily. Admission is free.

NParks is organising the Mid-Autumn run. The main lantern trail this year walks through the Legend of the White Snake across Lakeside Field, then picks up Chang’e, the Jade Rabbit and Princess Kaguya scenes in Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden.

White Snake lantern trail

Five scenes along Lakeside Field follow Bai Suzhen from her first human form to the battle at Jinshan Temple. The trail ends at Cloud Pagoda with a reimagined reunion of Bai Suzhen, Xu Xian, Xiao Qing and Fa Hai, plus a light show.

The Cloud Pagoda light show runs 19 to 27 September, 7.30pm to 10pm every 30 minutes, last show at 10pm. On opening night, 19 September, the show pauses during Rockestra and resumes at 9.30pm.

Rockestra on 19 September

NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra opens the festival on 19 September at Ficus Lawn, Chinese Garden, from 6.30pm. Admission is free. The bill is themed Hits through the Decades, with Supersonic, Music & Drama Company, Shirlyn and the UnXpected, and ShiLi & Adi.

Getting there

NParks asks visitors to come by public transport. Chinese Garden and Lakeside MRT stations are the usual approaches. Open flames, candlelit lanterns and sparklers are not allowed in the Gardens. The site is smoke-free.

Full programme cards sit on lightsbythelake.nparks.gov.sg, including later nights for Mediacorp’s lantern trail, Singapore Chinese Orchestra’s Music Oasis on 26 September, and outdoor screenings of Migration and The Wild Robot on 26 and 27 September.
