An official timing discrepancy to confirm

JEN’s promotion page states that the buffet runs from 6pm to 9pm. The linked official buffet menu states 6pm to 9.30pm. The original version of this article reported only the later time and did not flag the conflict.

Because the two current primary sources disagree, diners should confirm the last seating and buffet closing time when booking. A 9.30pm menu line does not necessarily mean arrival is accepted until 9.30pm. This guide will not choose between the two on the hotel’s behalf.

What the S$58.67++ effective price means

The calculation is straightforward: two adult prices equal S$176++, divided across three adults. The saving against three full adult prices is S$88++ per trio, or 33.3% before charges. “++” means the final bill adds service charge and prevailing GST, so S$58.67 is not the nett amount paid by each diner.

The offer language says every group of three dines for the price of two. Do not assume how a group of four, five or six will be treated; ask the restaurant whether the mechanic repeats by trio and how children count toward group composition. That answer affects the real per-person cost more than the headline phrase.

What is on the current international buffet menu?

The official two-page menu lists Boston lobster, prawns and mussels at the seafood counter, Singapore laksa at the show station, and rotating mains such as Black Angus beef dishes, Seafood Thermidor, Norway lobster in chilli-crab sauce, barramundi, prawns and chicken. Dessert listings include durian pengat, chocolate fountain, burnt cheesecake, Nyonya kueh, fruit and hot desserts.

It also says chef-recommended dishes rotate and menu items can change with ingredient availability. Treat named dishes as the published pool, not a promise that every item appears at every service. If one dish is the main reason for booking, ask J65 to confirm that day’s spread.

Children and group planning

The menu prices children aged six to 11 at S$44++ and says children below six dine free with every paying adult. The promotion page does not explain how child places interact with Dine 3 Pay 2. Families should provide the number and ages of diners at reservation rather than calculate from adult terms alone.

For three adults, the deal is easy to evaluate. For mixed-age or larger groups, request the expected pre-tax total in writing or through the booking channel. Also ask about deposit, cancellation and no-show terms, since those are not stated in the public promotion summary.

Who gets the most value?

  • Best fit: exactly three adults who want a broad seafood-and-international buffet on Sunday through Wednesday.
  • Check first: families with children, groups not divisible by three, and diners arriving after 8.30pm.
  • Poor fit: anyone choosing the buffet only for one rotating item or unable to use the qualifying days.

Booking checklist

  1. State “Dine 3 Pay 2” and the exact dining date when reserving.
  2. Confirm whether service ends at 9pm or 9.30pm and ask for last seating time.
  3. Give the adult/child breakdown and ask how the promotion applies.
  4. Confirm the S$88++ adult price and any exclusions for the selected date.
  5. Ask about cancellation terms and whether a card guarantee or deposit is required.
