FlamencAsian 2026 opens at Esplanade Theatre Studio on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026, with tickets from S$38.
Flamenco Sin Fronteras presents two programmes in the same studio. Each runs 1 hour 10 minutes with no intermission. It is performed in Spanish, for ages 6 and above. Tickets are on sale at esplanade.com.
Tierra Rota, Alma Viva
Saturday 3 October at 8pm and Sunday 4 October at 3pm. Directed by Antonio Vargas, the full-length work is billed as a meditation on ecological collapse and endurance. Flamenco Sin Fronteras dancers share the stage with contemporary performers Pang Xin Yi and Gong Wen Xuan. Music is by Robert Casteels with guitarist José Ismael Sierra, vocalist Chen Po-Yin and percussionist Lalit Kumar.
Fragmentos de Mañana
Sunday 4 October at 7.30pm only. The second bill gathers artists from Singapore, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand and Spain in short fragments on AI, environment, identity and connection, still rooted in flamenco rhythm. Performers include José Ismael Sierra, Zhao Zhen, Lu Lee, Nobuyoshi Nakane, Lalita Jantaro with Ballet Flamenco Thailand, Mariko Drayton, and Singaporeans Chang Hsiao Min, Ren Yi, Yong Kai Lin and Lalit Kumar.
