Cake brand Fieldnotes has opened a dine-in café on Level 4 of Takashimaya Shopping Centre, adding all-day brunch, mains, pastas and sharing plates to its cakes and tarts. Brunch starts at S$18 and mains go up to S$38.

All-day brunch
Brunch is served from 10am to 9pm. The Breakfast Platter (S$28) comes with sourdough, turkey bacon, chicken bratwurst, scrambled eggs, charred broccolini, confit tomatoes and mushrooms. The Honey Ricotta Noisette Toast is S$18 and the Portobello Mushroom Toast, with hot honey and kale, is S$22.
The Flora Brûlée French Toast, made with baked vanilla brioche and caramelised bananas, and the Avo & Scrambled Eggs Open Toast on a baked croissant are S$24 each. Add-ons include turkey bacon (S$4.50), chicken bratwurst (S$5) and guacamole (S$6).
Mains, pastas and sharing plates
Mains are Shio Salmon with Japanese Rice & Quinoa (S$32), Braised Chicken Leg with Garlic Mash (S$27) and Braised Beef Cheek with Garlic Mash (S$38). The two pastas are Aglio Olio Prawn Spaghetti (S$27) and Ragù Bolognese with rigatoni and chicken bratwurst (S$25).
Sharing plates are Hot Honey Brussels and Chicken Bites with Yuzu Kosho Dip at S$16 each, and Fries with Truffle Porcini Dip at S$18.
Cakes, matcha and tea
Cake slices cost S$8.70 to S$9.80 and tarts S$8.70 to S$10.90, with flavours on rotation; quiche is S$9.30 and loaves S$7. Desserts are served until 9.30pm.
The opening special is a seasonal Purple Sweet Potato Matcha (S$10) made with Niko Neko Yuri matcha from Mie, Japan. Iced Strawberry Matcha, Lychee Matcha and Hōjicha Tiramisu are S$9.50 each, a hot white coffee is S$7.50, and hot teas come with one free refill.
