The DBS PayLah Saturday cashback is back this weekend, and it’s a bigger run than before. From 29 August to 19 December 2026, DBS and POSB are giving out up to $3 cashback every Saturday to the first 160,000 customers who scan and pay with PayLah at hawker stalls, wet markets, coffee shops and heartland shops islandwide. This is the fourth year of the campaign, and it now stretches across 17 Saturdays, five weeks longer than last year’s run. If Saturday morning marketing is already part of your routine, this is worth building into it.
How The DBS PayLah Saturday Cashback Actually Works
Every Saturday starting at 6am, the first 160,000 customers to scan and pay with PayLah at a participating merchant get 100 percent cashback, capped at $3 per transaction. There’s a limit of one redemption per person per week, so it’s a use-it-or-lose-it deal. The cashback lands in your PayLah account on the same day, no waiting around for it to clear.
Look out for the POSB wobbler sign at NETS and PayNow UEN QR-enabled shops in your neighbourhood, or the SGQR code with the PayLah logo at hawker stalls. Once you’ve scanned and paid, check your PayLah transaction history to confirm the cashback has come through.

Where To Use It
The cashback applies at participating hawker centres, wet markets, coffee shops and heartland shops across the island, not at malls or chain stores. Excluded categories include travel agencies, car rental, hotels, clinics, pharmacies, petrol stations, places of worship, schools and vets, and shops located inside commercial malls like Bugis Junction or Tanglin Mall don’t qualify either.
DBS has a full list of participating merchants on its website, searchable by neighbourhood for heartland shops or by building name for hawker centres and wet markets. It’s worth a quick check before you head out, since the list gets updated and not every stall in a hawker centre is necessarily on it.

Why DBS Is Running It Again
The Saturday cashback sits under DBS’s Saturday Savings programme, part of a $10 million package the bank announced earlier this year to help customers manage rising costs. The programme started in July with $3 off eggs and rice every Saturday at Sheng Siong and Giant for customers paying with eligible DBS or POSB cards, and customers have since redeemed more than 440,000 of those offers, saving over $1.3 million collectively.
According to DBS, half of all PayLah scan-to-pay transactions are already for food and groceries at heartland shops and hawker stalls. Of those who redeemed the cashback last year, 36 percent were either senior citizens or earned less than $2,500 a month, or both. Participating merchants also saw a 50 percent jump in Saturday PayLah earnings during last year’s campaign, up from 40 percent growth in 2024.
A Few Practical Notes
- You don’t need a DBS or POSB bank account, just a PayLah account, which you can set up with your Singpass in a few minutes.
- Auto-debit in the PayLah app saves you from manual top-ups if you’re planning to use it weekly through to 19 December.
- The campaign runs for 17 Saturdays this year, so mark your calendar if you want to catch most of them.

“Every dollar saved matters, especially amid today’s rising costs,” said Calvin Ong, Head of Consumer Banking Group at DBS Singapore, in the bank’s announcement. He added that the campaign is also meant to nudge more spending toward neighbourhood businesses, so the savings flow back into the heartland communities the bank serves.
If you’re already tracking other household savings this year, our piece on unspent CDC Vouchers before they expire is worth a check, and the FairPrice $6 return voucher is another one to stack alongside your Saturday PayLah runs.
With 2.7 million cashback rewards up for grabs across the 17 weeks, roughly 40 percent more than last year, the odds of missing out on a $3 saving are lower than they used to be. Just remember it’s first-come-first-served from 6am, so the early makan run has an extra reason to happen this Saturday.
