Children’s Season 2026: Become Earth’s Superheroes This School Holiday (30 May–28 Jun)

Looking for something fun, meaningful, and eco-conscious to do with the kids this school holiday? Children’s Season 2026 is back — and this year, the annual festival at Children’s Museum Singapore (CMSG) is inviting children across the island to become Earth’s Superheroes.

What Is Children’s Season 2026?

Organised by Children’s Museum Singapore (CMSG), part of HeritageSG, Children’s Season 2026 runs from 30 May to 28 June 2026. Centred on the theme of sustainability, the festival encourages children to explore environmental issues and adopt everyday sustainable habits through hands-on, play-based experiences — from interactive performances and workshops to museum trails across Singapore.

This year’s edition marks a milestone: it will be the first Children’s Season to celebrate the International Day of Play (IDOP), a global UNICEF-supported initiative recognising play as essential to children’s development and well-being.

Designed by Children, for Children

True to its founding philosophy, Children’s Season 2026 is a festival co-created with its audience. This year’s Children’s Panel comprises 25 students from Huamin Primary School (aged 10 to 11), who served as festival programmers — voting for their favourite Signature Programmes and working with selected artists to co-curate four site-specific works presented at different Museum Roundtable venues across Singapore.

What to Expect

The festival spans a full month of programming, with offerings ranging from theatrical performances and interactive workshops to art installations and guided museum experiences. Signature Programme highlights include:

  • Ms Nat and the Zero Waste Heroes — A theatrical performance by artist Nur Ateeqah Binte Mazlan, Founder of Ms Nat Learning Exploration, exploring zero-waste themes for young audiences.
  • PLAY @ Children’s Season — Drop-in activities at the National Museum of Singapore, including Play Together: A Pop-up Playground at NMS.
  • Chapter Zero Playground — A UNICEF International Day of Play drop-in activity by artist Phua Li Ling, Founder of Chapter Zero.
