Children’s Museum Singapore opens Money Town: Make It Count!, a hands-on exhibition that teaches children how money works, on 14 November. It runs until January 2029 and is designed for children aged five to nine.

The exhibition takes over the museum at 23-B Coleman Street after a stretch of partial closure. Level 2, home to the previous exhibition, Into the Hawkerverse, has been shut since 28 September to make way for the new show.
What children will learn
Money Town covers earning, saving, donating, spending, value, and needs versus wants through interactive, play-based stations. It also looks at the history of trade and currency in Singapore.
The museum aims to help children build healthy money habits early, and to start family conversations about what money can and cannot buy.
There is a separate play space for younger siblings. The museum welcomes all children aged 12 and under, even though the exhibition is pitched at ages five to nine.
Who built it
Money Town was co-developed with FRida & freD, the children’s museum in Graz, Austria, through the Children’s Museum’s first Curator Residency. UOB Foundation is the Presenting Partner.
Tickets and prices
Entry stays free for Singapore citizens and permanent residents, who show a pink or blue NRIC on arrival. When Money Town opens, normal fees return for foreign residents and tourists: S$10 per child, S$15 per adult and S$40 for a family package of two adults and two children, before GST.
Until 12 November, the museum’s Level 1 is free for all visitors, though online booking is still required. The whole museum closes on 13 November, the day before Money Town opens.
Planning a visit
The museum opens Tuesdays to Sundays, 9am to 5.45pm, and closes on Mondays. It also shuts from 12.45pm to 2pm daily for cleaning.
Visits run in four timed sessions a day, at 9am, 11am, 2pm and 4pm, each lasting 1 hour 45 minutes. Tickets go on sale 30 days ahead, and walk-ins are not guaranteed. Tickets become invalid if visitors arrive more than 10 minutes late.
Adults enter only with a child, and children must be supervised at all times. The museum is an eight-minute walk from City Hall MRT station, with parking nearby at Funan, Capitol Piazza and Grand Park City Hall.
Tickets are sold on the Children’s Museum Singapore website.
