Geylang International go into the international break top of the Singapore Premier League (SPL) table on 14 points from six games, one clear of Lion City Sailors and Tampines Rovers, after a 0-0 draw with Tampines at Our Tampines Hub on 1 November 2026.
The two clubs directly below them have a game in hand, and it is against each other. Sailors v Tampines has been rescheduled, so the top three will not be level on games played until that game is made up.
How the SPL table stands after matchweek six
- Geylang International: played 6, won 4, drawn 2, lost 0, goals 12-2, 14 points
- Lion City Sailors: played 5, won 4, drawn 1, lost 0, goals 20-3, 13 points

- Hougang United: played 6, 1 point, goals 4-14
The Sailors sit second on goal difference, plus 17 to the Stags’ plus 10. Geylang have conceded two goals in six league games.
A second goalless draw for Geylang
Noor Ali’s side went into the derby on their best start to a top-flight season since their title-winning 2001 campaign, four wins and a draw from five, with winger Yang Hyeonju on four league goals. Their only other dropped points also came in a 0-0, against Balestier Khalsa at Bishan Stadium on 17 October.
For Tampines, the draw ended a run of four straight league wins under Nazri Nasir. It also extended their unbeaten run against Geylang to nine matches across all competitions, the ninth being this 0-0. Geylang have not beaten the Stags since July 2023. The point came days after a 5-1 defeat to Cambodia’s PKR Svay Rieng in the AFC Champions League Two, Tampines’ third loss from three in that group.

Sailors close the gap with a 4-0 at Bishan
The defending champions won 4-0 away to Balestier Khalsa at Bishan Stadium on 1 November, ending a month in which the Tigers had not lost. Mark Jackson’s side have now scored 20 goals in five league games, six of them against Tanjong Pagar United on 25 October before a 2-0 win at Adelaide United in the Champions League Two.
Elsewhere in matchweek six, Tanjong Pagar and FC Jurong drew 1-1 at Jurong East Stadium on 30 October, leaving the two clubs level with Balestier on seven points. Young Lions picked up their first win of the season on 31 October, which we covered in our report on Young Lions 2-0 Hougang United.
