Homegrown kids’ technology brand myFirst has launched the myFirst Insta magiBox in Singapore, a voice-powered AI sticker printer that turns a child’s spoken idea into black-and-white artwork they can print, colour and stick onto notebooks, cards and craft projects. It costs S$119.

How the myFirst Insta magiBox works
A child might say “an octopus wearing a sailor’s hat”. Using Voice-to-Image, the magiBox generates artwork from the description, shows it on its screen and prints it automatically. Kids can then colour the print, add their own details or write their own words. For a longer adventure, Voice-to-Story turns a spoken idea into an illustrated story across four scenes.

AI safeguards built for children
The device uses a combination of AI models such as Gemini and OpenAI, with safety filters developed by the myFirst team for kids. It checks prompts before generating content. If a request does not pass, the magiBox blocks the image and displays “Oops! Try another idea”, nudging the child to try something else.
It supports 26 languages, including English, Mandarin, Hindi and Malay, so children can describe their ideas in the language they are most comfortable with. “AI can provide a starting point, but we want children to decide what happens next,” said G-Jay Yong, founder and CEO of myFirst.

Price, colours and where to buy
The Insta magiBox is priced at S$119 and comes in Aqua Blue and Blossom Pink. It is available from the myFirst Official Store, Popular Bookstores and Takashimaya.

The box includes three Thermal Sticker Rolls, two Quick-Peel Sticker Rolls, two interchangeable silicone covers and eight coloured marker pens. Refills cost S$14.90 for three Thermal Sticker Rolls.
