Halloween for kids in Singapore 2026: trick-or-treat trails, costume contests and age advisories

Singapore’s family Halloween line-up for 2026 runs from now to 1 November, with daytime trick-or-treating at Universal Studios Singapore and Mandai, free mall trails for children aged 12 and below from 17 October, and costume contests on 31 October.

Daytime Halloween at the attractions

Trick or Thrills, Universal Studios Singapore. Runs daily to 1 November, 10am to 8pm, or 10am to 6pm on Halloween Horror Nights 14 nights. It is included with park admission. Children can go trick-or-treating for candy, catch the Minions’ new Belloween Ball show, see Kuromi’s Halloween Debut at Superstar Boutique, and meet characters in Halloween costumes, including Cookie Monster and Count, and Shrek, Fiona and Fairy Godmother.

Boo-tiful Day, Curiosity Cove at Mandai. Daily from 1 October to 1 November, 10am to 5.30pm. Halloween games, crafts and treats for little adventurers are included with Curiosity Cove admission. Crafts cost S$6 each or three for S$15, and candy bags are S$6.

Legend Keepers: Tales of Singapore Awaken, Adventure Cove Waterpark. Daily from 1 September to 1 November, 10am to 5pm (4pm on Saturdays), included with a One-Day Ticket. Families scan QR codes to follow a treasure hunt through five Singapore legends, including Kusu Island, Bukit Merah and Radin Mas Ayu, and collect candies at the end.

Mall trick-or-treat trails

Causeway Point, Woodlands. Guided Trick-or-Treat tours on 17 and 18 October at 2pm and 5pm, for children aged 12 and below. Spend S$20 in a single transaction at a participating FRx store between 25 September and 16 October, then pre-register at the Customer Service Counter on Level 2. Each sign-up covers one child and one supervising adult.

Century Square, Tampines. The same guided trail runs on 24 and 25 October at 2pm and 5pm, for ages 12 and below, with the same S$20 single-receipt spend between 25 September and 16 October. Pre-register at the Concierge on Level 3. The mall’s glow-in-the-dark escape room follows from 26 to 30 October and on 1 November, 12pm to 9pm, and on 31 October from 6pm to 9pm. A pass is free with a S$50 spend or costs S$8.

Tanglin Mall. Free trick-or-treating with no spend needed, gathering at the Level 1 Atrium on 30 October at 5.30pm, 31 October at 1.30pm and 5pm, and 1 November at 3.30pm. Children complete missions on a trail pass for a Halloween gift, while stocks last. Children under seven must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The mall is also attempting a Singapore Book of Records Longest 20-Metre Slime Potion on 1 November from 5pm to 6.30pm.

Costume contests on 31 October

  • Century Square Halloween Best Dressed: 31 October, 2pm to 5pm, with over S$4,000 in prizes. Enter with a S$20 single-receipt spend between 25 September and 23 October.
  • Tanglin Mall Best Dressed Contest: 31 October at 2.30pm, in Best Dressed Kids and Best Dressed Families categories, with prizes worth over S$3,300. Register interest online; slots are confirmed by email.
  • Mandai Sundown: Best Dressed awards for one child and one family on every Sundown night (see below).

Evening events at the attractions

Sundown, Curiosity Cove at Mandai. Selected nights to 1 November, 6.30pm to 9.30pm: 9 and 10 October, 16 to 18 October, 23 to 25 October, and 30 October to 1 November. The evening adds a trail, a bubble show by CJ Bubbles and a victory parade. Tickets for one adult and one child are S$50 on Saturdays and S$40 on Fridays and Sundays, plus S$15 per extra adult and S$25 per extra child. Day visitors can add Sundown for S$25.

Pool Party Panic, Adventure Cove Waterpark. Saturdays 10, 17, 24 and 31 October, 4pm to 8pm, with a Saturday One-Day Ticket or a Twilight Saturday Ticket. It has darker murder-mystery themes and is not recommended for young children.

Age advisories and scarier events

Halloween Horror Nights 14 at Universal Studios Singapore is a separately ticketed night event and is not recommended for children under 13. On those nights, the daytime Trick or Thrills programme closes at 6pm.

Haw Ror Villa 5 runs on selected nights from 8 October to 15 November, 6.30pm to midnight. The event is open to children; costumes must not be offensive, and full-face masks are not allowed.

The qualifying S$20 spend for the Causeway Point and Century Square trails must be made by 16 October, and Century Square’s Best Dressed contest needs its qualifying spend by 23 October.
