Raffles Singapore race-week menus start Tuesday, with Champagne tea from 7 Oct

Raffles Singapore starts its race-week dining on Tuesday, 6 October, with a five-night André Chiang menu (6 to 10 Oct) at 1887 by André and a wood-fired lunch at Butcher’s Block, followed by a Champagne Afternoon Tea in The Grand Lobby from Wednesday. The programme runs through Singapore Grand Prix race week, 9 to 11 October.

The hotel is at 1 Beach Road, a short walk from City Hall and Esplanade MRT stations and close to the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

1887 by André, 6 to 10 October

The two-Michelin-star restaurant is running a race-week menu for five nights only. Chef-Patron André Chiang has put together favourites and signature dishes from his own repertoire, heritage gastronomy through a French lens, with beverage pairings for each course.

Bookings go through the restaurant, and the concierge at [email protected] handles questions.

Butcher’s Block, 6 to 17 October

Butcher’s Block runs longer. From Tuesday to 17 October it extends its opening hours on selected days and adds a Race Week Wood-fired Lunch Experience to the regular a la carte menu, cooked by Chef de Cuisine Jordan Keao over the restaurant’s wood fire.

The lunch carries past the race into the following week, so it works for anyone who would rather avoid the hotel on Grand Prix Sunday.

Champagne Afternoon Tea, 7 to 14 October

The Grand Lobby’s race-week tea runs for eight days from Wednesday. It is the Raffles format of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and pastries, with the pastries themed on the race weekend, and comes with a glass of Champagne or a sparkling tea.

Writers Bar and Long Bar

The drinks side started on 1 October. Writers Bar has three Glenfiddich cocktails for the month, The Overtake, Silverstone 16 and Speyside Spritz, one of which uses the limited-edition Glenfiddich Aston Martin F1 Team 16 Year Old. They run until 31 October.

Long Bar is pouring its Singapore Sling, plus the alcohol-free Singapore Sling Zero.

Away from the restaurants, Raffles Boutique has 15 per cent off when you buy three or more items until 18 October, and Raffles Spa has a race-season treatment list called The Race Season Wellness Edit.
