The first F1 Sprint at Marina Bay is on this week, as the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix runs from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October. It is round 18 of the season. Sunday’s race is 62 laps of the 4.927km Marina Bay Street Circuit, or 305.337km.

F1 session times in SGT
Sprint Qualifying takes the place of second practice on Friday, and the Sprint replaces third practice on Saturday. That leaves the teams one practice hour before every session counts.
- Friday 9 October: first practice 4.30pm to 5.30pm, Sprint Qualifying 8.30pm to 9.14pm
- Saturday 10 October: Sprint from 5pm, Qualifying 9pm to 10pm
- Sunday 11 October: Drivers’ Parade 6pm to 6.30pm, Grand Prix from 8pm
Porsche Carrera Cup Asia races at 7.45pm on Saturday and 3.40pm on Sunday. The F1 Drivers’ Fan Forum is on the Zone 1 Wharf Stage at 2.30pm on Friday and 3.10pm on Saturday, open to Zone 1 and Zone 2 ticketholders for that day.
What changes on track
The layout is the 19-corner version in use since the 2023 change cut the lap from 23 corners. Lewis Hamilton’s 1:33.808 from 2025 stands as the race lap record. What is new is the car. The 2026 layout has Straight Mode zones along the main straights, an Overtake detection point between Turns 16 and 17 and the activation point just after Turn 17.

Tickets still on sale
Zone 4 Walkabout day passes were still on sale on Sunday morning, for the zone that holds the Padang Stage: S$198 for Friday, S$298 for Saturday and S$368 for Sunday. Friday and Sunday are selling fast. A Friday Premier Walkabout, valid in all four zones, costs S$298, and a Friday seat in Republic Grandstand costs S$328.
Three-day seats remain in Marina Bay Grandstand at S$1,798 and Bayfront Grandstand at S$1,428, both on limited availability. Every single-day Saturday and Sunday grandstand ticket is sold out, as are both Sprint bundles. Singapore GP will release a limited number of extra tickets in the coming days and hold back a small batch for sale at selected gates on each race day. Wheelchair-accessible platform tickets for Turn 1 and Empress are sold by phone on +65 6042 5066. All prices include GST.
Road closures and late trains
Roads around Marina Centre and the Padang close from 12.01am on Wednesday 7 October, and fully reopen at 5.30am on Tuesday 13 October. Some stretches reopen for the morning peak, from 5.30am to 10am on 7, 8, 9 and 12 October. On 12 October there is an evening window too, from 5pm to 8.30pm.
Drivers can still reach Marina Centre via Rochor Road and Temasek Boulevard. The single Access Lane on Raffles Boulevard has new hours because of the Sprint: midnight to 6am, 10am to 4pm and 11pm to midnight on Friday, then midnight to 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. The car parks at Suntec City, Millenia Walk and Marina Square stay open.
Trains run later from 9 to 11 Oct. The last North-South and East-West Line trains leave City Hall at 12.30am after Friday’s and Saturday’s sessions, and 12.45am after Sunday’s race. Selected bus services from MRT stations also run later.
