Pokémon 30th anniversary in Singapore: Jewel parade, Kallang run and more to 2027

The Pokémon Company is marking the franchise’s 30th anniversary in Singapore with a free parade of all 27 first partner Pokémon at Jewel and a themed fun run at The Kallang, both on 7 and 8 Nov. Around that weekend sit a cable car ride, airport shopping rewards, Pokémon GO events and card tournaments running into 2027.

Singapore Cable Car, now to 21 Jan 2027

The Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure runs on the Mount Faber Line until 21 Jan 2027. Eighteen cabins carry the starter trios of all nine Pokémon regions, from Kanto’s Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle to Paldea’s Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly.

From 7.45pm, each group of riders gets a free UV torch, while stocks last, that reveals the starters’ final evolutions and flying types including Charizard, Dragonite and Gyarados. Riders boarding at Mount Faber Peak also get a free Poké Ball silhouette card at random, while stocks last. Cabins featuring Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, Jigglypuff and Gengar still run by day, and Mew makes surprise appearances.

A Mount Faber Line round trip is S$33 for adults and S$22 for children aged 4 to 12, or S$31 and S$20.70 online. The line runs from 8.45am to 10pm daily. Board at Level 15 of HarbourFront Tower 2, via Exit B of HarbourFront MRT.

Pokémon Center Singapore, 4 to 28 Oct

Pokémon Center Singapore, at #04-201/202/203 in Jewel Changi Airport, hosts Pokémon GO Raid Battles from 6pm to 7pm every Wednesday in October: 7, 14, 21 and 28 Oct. Numbered tickets, one per person, are handed out in store from 3pm on the day.

From 7 to 11 Oct, shoppers who make a purchase and show their Pokémon GO screen get a Community Day sticker. The Magic Hour Illusion! merchandise series lands in store and on Pokémon Store Online Singapore at 10am on 9 Oct.

On 4 Oct, only pre-registered applicants enter from 10am to 1pm, with same-day queue tickets for later entry given out from 9am. The store opens from 10am to 10pm daily, near Changi Airport MRT.

Ultra Ball League tournaments, 17 Oct to 1 Nov

The Singapore Ultra Ball League Season 1 has four Standard-format trading card tournaments open to all ages, each costing S$25 with 280 places. The 24 Oct and 25 Oct rounds are in the Balestier Ballroom at Aloft Singapore Novena, 16 Ah Hood Road, with lotteries closing at 12.30am on 10 Oct and 11 Oct respectively. The 31 Oct and 1 Nov rounds are in Garnet Rooms 214 to 217 at Singapore EXPO, near Expo MRT, and both lotteries close at 12.30am on 18 Oct.

On each day, walk-in registration runs from 10am to 11am and play starts at about noon. Separate Masters, Senior and Junior division events run on 17 Oct at the *SCAPE Ground Theatre, 2 Orchard Link. Masters entry is S$25, the Senior and Junior divisions are free, and their lotteries close at 12.30am on 8 Oct.

Changi Airport and Jewel campaign, 3 Nov to 28 Feb 2027

From 3 Nov, a qualifying receipt from participating outlets at Changi Airport and Jewel lets shoppers buy or redeem original Pokémon merchandise. The campaign runs to 31 Jan 2027 at Jewel and 28 Feb 2027 at Changi.

Cabin-sized and check-in luggage are only at Changi, and an umbrella with a waterproof sleeve is only at Jewel. Both have plush toys, a thermal bottle and a travel blanket with bag.

The Terminal 3 Departure Hall hosts a Pokémon Experience Zone with Nintendo Switch 2 games and free trading card game trial sessions, plus meet-and-greets. Jewel runs a trading card quiz rally around the mall, with a prize for finishing. Pokémon Christmas decorations go up at Changi until the end of 2026, with Lunar New Year designs in early 2027.

PokéXciting! at Changi Airport and Jewel, 7 and 8 Nov

Singapore is the third of five PokéXciting! stops in Asia, after Kuala Lumpur and Taipei. Entry is free. The tour moves on to Manila on 23 and 24 Jan 2027 and Bangkok on 13 and 14 Feb 2027.

All 27 first partner Pokémon join a parade at Jewel’s Forest Valley. Terminal 3 hosts stage shows with PokéXciting! Pikachu, whose costume is blue for Singapore. Both venues add meet-and-greets, photo spots and PokéXciting! merchandise sold only there.

Pokémon GO in Singapore, 7 and 8 Nov

The Pokémon GO PokéXciting! event covers all of Singapore from 10am to 10pm on both days. The blue PokéXciting! Pikachu stays in the wild for a month afterwards. Five stamps from designated PokéStops in the GO Stamp Rally earn a PokéXciting! Pikachu with a Location Background.

Rewards from two free Timed Research sets include a Premium Battle Pass. Incense draws Unown S and G in Singapore, and Gigantamax Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise feature.

A separate cross-region stamp is already live. Spin the PokéXciting! PokéStop at the Changi Airport Terminal 3 Departure Hall for Singapore’s stamp and a Pikachu encounter.

Pokémon RUN 30 at The Kallang, 7 and 8 Nov

Pokémon RUN 30: Singapore Edition is a 4km non-competitive fun run at Stadium Roar, The Kallang, near Stadium MRT. Entry is S$138, or S$158 for late entry, on Race Roster.

Flag-off waves run from 7am to 11.30am, based on the time slot picked at registration. Entries are non-refundable, and children under 12 must run with an adult.

The kit has a UNIQLO T-shirt, a drawstring bag, a Grass, Fire or Water bib, a Poké Ball arm band, a Pokédex Search Sheet, a lenticular card and a booster pack, with a Pikachu shoulder plushie on selected tickets. Finishers get a Gym Badge, a display sheet with first and second evolution lenticular cards, a finisher medal and one Pokémon RUN Pikachu promo card.

The Festival Zone is free for everyone from 8am to 2pm on both days, subject to capacity. It has a pop-up store with 30th anniversary merchandise, Pikachu parades, game play areas and photo spots.

Premier Ball League at Suntec, 12 Dec

The Singapore Premier Ball League card event runs from 9am to 8pm on 12 Dec in Halls 401 and 402 at Suntec Singapore, near Esplanade MRT. The Masters division takes up to 1,000 players and Senior 120.

Places go by lottery until 12 Nov, and players need a Player ID, photo ID and proof of residence. Singapore EXPO hosts the Pokémon World Championships from 13 to 15 Aug 2027.
