SSO presents Petrenko and Capuçon at Esplanade on 18 and 19 September 2026

The Singapore Symphony Orchestra presents Vasily Petrenko and cellist Gautier Capuçon at Esplanade Concert Hall on Friday and Saturday, 18 and 19 September 2026, at 7.30pm.

Esplanade’s event page, checked on Wednesday (Sep 2), lists tickets from S$10.50, a running time of 2 hours 10 minutes with one 20-minute intermission, and standard categories from S$15 to S$100.

PROGRAMME

The published programme opens with Arvo Pärt’s cantata Our Garden for children’s choir and orchestra, sung by the Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir.

Mr Capuçon is billed in Saint-Saëns’s Cello Concerto No. 1. Mr Petrenko then conducts Shostakovich’s Fourth Symphony. Esplanade credits the Singapore Symphony Orchestra as the presenting ensemble and names Mr Petrenko as a leading Shostakovich interpreter on the same synopsis.

Standard prices on the Esplanade page are Cat 1 S$100, Cat 2 S$75, Cat 3 S$55, Cat 4 S$40, Cat 5 S$30 and Cat 6 S$15. A limited concession band for students, full-time national servicemen, seniors and persons with disabilities starts from S$10.50.

Published discounts include 10 per cent for Friends Season Pass holders and 20 per cent for donors, group or corporate bookings, and SSG Family. The concert is listed as eligible for SG Culture Pass credits.
