If you have been hearing distant booms over the east on Saturday evenings, that is your cue. The NDP 2026 fireworks are back, and the next preview show lights up the National Stadium on Saturday, 25 July 2026. This year is extra special because the National Day Parade returns to the National Stadium for the first time since 2016. Whether you have tickets or plan to catch the fireworks for free, here is everything you need to know.

NDP 2026 Fireworks: Dates To Bookmark
The parade builds up over several Saturdays before the big day. Each show evening ends with a fireworks display over the Kallang Basin. Here are the remaining dates worth blocking out:
- Saturday, 25 July 2026 – Preview show at the National Stadium.
- Saturday, 1 August 2026 – National Education (NE) show.
- Sunday, 9 August 2026 – National Day Parade itself.
Fireworks typically light up the sky in the evening, from around 7.30pm onwards. Do note that exact timings can shift, so treat these as a guide. Follow the official NDPeeps channels on the day for live updates.
Best Free Spots To Catch The Fireworks
No ticket? No problem. The area around Kallang offers several open vantage points where you can watch for free. Get there early because these fill up fast:
- Stadium Riverside Walk – the closest free promenade to the action.
- Tanjong Rhu Promenade – a favourite for unobstructed water-facing views.
- Kallang Riverside Park – grassy, family-friendly and a little more lepak.
Aim to be in position by 7pm to snag a good spot. Bring water, a mat and a fan – the evening crowds can get warm. Public transport is your friend, as parking near the stadium is limited on show nights.

What Is New At NDP 2026
Moving indoors to the National Stadium unlocks a few firsts for the parade. This year’s theme is “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!” as the nation marks its 61st birthday. Expect a show built for a covered venue:
- NDP’s first-ever indoor drone light show.
- The largest indoor special effects presentation to date.
- A “Go Beyond” lighted display along the Stadium Riverside Walk, from 25 July to 9 August.
- Music performances and interactive activities celebrating Singapore’s multiculturalism.
