Singapore History Gallery Revamp: What To Visit Before October 2026

The National Museum’s Singapore History Gallery is closed for revamp and is scheduled to reopen in October 2026, so visitors need a slightly different plan for the next few months.

The museum directs visitors to Once Upon a Tide and Singapore Odyssea while the main gallery is being refreshed. That still gives families, students and tourists a substantial Singapore-history route.

What To Visit Instead

Once Upon a Tide covers Singapore’s journey from settlement to global city, while Singapore Odyssea gives visitors a multimedia experience inside the Shaw Foundation Glass Rotunda.

If you are bringing children, start with the immersive or interactive elements first, then add more reading-heavy sections only if they still have energy.
