Marymount Bakehouse Upper Thomson adds pet-friendly seats and new levain pies

Marymount Bakehouse‘s second cafe at 9 Thomson Ridge, open since 12 September, adds pet-friendly outdoor seats and new levain pies from S$18.90++ to the sourdough bakery’s line-up.

Founders Ian Ferdinand Chong and Ong Jingwen grew the brand from a home bakery in Marymount to Race Course Road in 2024. The Upper Thomson space seats up to 60 and keeps the sangria-red and clay-brick look of the first cafe with more room to dine.

Hours and new loaves

Upper Thomson opens Wednesday to Sunday from 9am.

Loaves are high-hydration and slow-fermented, with about 15 varieties rotated in small batches. New lines tied to the second outlet include French Onion Soup sourdough and a Maple Country Nuts loaf. The two new levain pies are Four Cheese Asparagus from S$18.90++ and Corn and Crab Chowder from S$20.50++.

Brunch plates and pasta

Brunch at Thomson Ridge adds Beef Tartare on Bone Marrow at S$30++, with sourdough crisps and shokupan. A Brown Butter Boquerones and sourdough-crusted seabass pasta is S$28++. Dessert includes a Tira”miso” with sourdough ladyfingers at S$19++.

Marymount Bakehouse Upper Thomson is at 9 Thomson Ridge, Singapore 574637. The original cafe remains at 421 Race Course Road.
