Hello Future: Adventure Awaits, the seventh edition of Singapore Art Museum’s (SAM) signature Think! Contemporary Preschool programme, opens to the public at the National Library Building from 15 August to 5 September 2026, with free admission for all.
The showcase turns the spotlight on the youngest artists in Singapore, bringing together vibrant works by children from 24 preschools across the island. For the first time, the exhibition moves into the heart of the civic district at the National Library Building, making it an easy stop for families over the September school holidays.
Art through a child’s eyes
Inspired by visits to SAM’s Learning Gallery at Tanjong Pagar Distripark, the young participants explored big themes including identity, community and the changing environment. Guided by their teachers, they turned those observations into artworks using playful experimentation, unexpected materials and imaginative approaches.
The result is an exhibition that invites visitors to experience contemporary art through the curiosity and creativity of young children, and to see how they observe, question and respond to the world around them.
A growing partnership
This edition expands SAM’s partnership with the National Institute of Early Childhood Development. Students from its Visual Art track worked alongside preschoolers and teachers in the classroom, supporting the artmaking process while gaining practical experience in facilitating visual arts learning.
