Southeast Asia’s Largest-Ever Pop Art Exhibition Opens at National Gallery Singapore This December

Get ready for one of the biggest cultural events of 2026 — Pop after Pop: Art around Us, Southeast Asia’s largest-ever group exhibition of Pop Art and its legacy, is coming to National Gallery Singapore this December.

Presented by National Gallery Singapore and organised in collaboration with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation in New York, this landmark exhibition brings together more than 200 artworks by over 100 artists, primarily from Southeast Asia and the United States. It is the first collaboration between the two iconic institutions.

Pop Art Goes Global — and Southeast Asian

While Pop Art famously originated in Britain and flourished in the United States, Pop after Pop explores how the movement circulated transnationally — and how artists across Southeast Asia reinterpreted its bold visual vocabulary through local popular and vernacular culture.

Visitors can look forward to original works by internationally renowned artists including Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, and Barbara Kruger from the United States, alongside leading Southeast Asian voices: Ming Wong (Singapore), Antipas Delotavo (Philippines), FX Harsono (Indonesia), and Manit Sriwanichpoom (Thailand).

Spanning paintings, sculptures, prints, installations, and moving image works, the show draws from the collections of National Gallery Singapore, the Guggenheim, and loans from private and institutional collections worldwide.

Across Four Exhibitions and Multiple Spaces

Pop after Pop: Art around Us extends across four exhibitions and various public spaces throughout the Gallery, including the Singtel Special Exhibition Galleries 1 and 2, Special Exhibition Gallery 3 on Level 3, and the Ngee Ann Kongsi Gallery on Level B1.
