We were invited to the media preview of Bosch Home Appliances Singapore’s new pop-up at City Square Mall — and I’ll be honest, I did not expect to end up frantically loading colourful plates and cups into a dishwasher on a Monday afternoon at a shopping mall. But here we are. It was hands-on, competitive, and way more fun than you’d think. The pop-up runs until 28 June 2026 and entry is completely free.

What’s the pop-up about?
Bosch Home Appliances Singapore — the World’s No. 1 Dishwasher Brand for 10 consecutive years — has set up a free, family-friendly dishwasher-themed pop-up at the Level 1 Atrium of City Square Mall. It runs from 22 to 28 June 2026, 10am to 10pm daily.
The format is a stamp rally. There are six game stations, each built around a different dishwasher benefit — hygiene, water savings, cleaning performance, ease of use. Complete all six and you redeem a free exclusive Bosch keyring. It’s a clever format: you actually learn something about dishwashers without it ever feeling like a sales pitch.
The six challenges
Here’s what we tried at each station:
- The Bosch Home Challenge
The warm-up. Snap a selfie at the pop-up, post it on Facebook or Instagram, and tag

Simple and a good excuse for content if you need one.

- Germ Blaster Challenge
A shooter-style arcade game where you use a toy gun to zap digital germs off a dirty plate on screen. The station is themed around Bosch dishwashers removing up to 99.99% of viruses and bacteria — and this one had a crowd gathering from the start. My aim, for the record, was decent.

- Perfect Dry Challenge
An augmented reality activity. You scan a plate with your phone that looks perfectly clean to the naked eye, and hidden water stains appear on screen. Count the sparkles to complete the challenge. It makes a point most of us probably needed to hear — “clean enough” often isn’t.

- Dish Loading Challenge
This was the highlight of the whole visit, and I say that without exaggeration. You race against a countdown timer to load a real Bosch dishwasher as efficiently as possible — plates, cups, and cutlery all need to go in the right spots for an optimal wash. It sounds straightforward until you’re actually in it and completely blanking on where the mugs go. We watched a few families get genuinely competitive over this one. Highly recommended if you’re going with kids.

- Count Every Drop Challenge
An interactive digital display where you guess the amount of water used by different everyday activities: running a Bosch dishwasher, hand-washing dishes, and taking a shower. The answers are revealed on screen. I guessed wrong on at least two out of three. A full load in a Bosch dishwasher can use as little as 7L. Hand washing the same load? About 40L. Don’t say we never share. This is where Bosch’s ActiveWater Technology does its talking.

- Time Saver Challenge
A bean bag toss to close out the rally. Each hole represents something you could be doing with the time saved by letting a Bosch dishwasher do the work. Low-key and easy going — a nice way to wind down after all that loading.

Exclusive deals (RSVP required)

Quick note: the pop-up itself is completely free to enter and the games need no registration. RSVP is only required if you want access to the sales deals.
Should you go?
Yes — especially if you’re bringing the kids. The stamp rally takes you through all six stations at an easy pace, entry is free, and you walk away with a Bosch keyring if you complete the lot. Even if a dishwasher isn’t on your shopping list, the Dish Loading Challenge and the water comparison station are worth stopping for on their own.
If you’re in the market for a new dishwasher or kitchen appliance, the pop-up prices are worth checking out before the event wraps. Just remember to RSVP first.
There are a few days left — don’t wait on this one.
