The Gardeners’ Day Out returns on 13 and 14 June 2026 — and this edition is moving the party out to Jurong Lake Gardens. If you have a balcony herb garden, a curated monstera collection, or you are simply Easties looking for a weekend in the West, NParks has lined up bazaars, talks, workshops and tours.
This is the big monthly meet-up for the Singapore gardening community. The June edition lands smack in the school holidays, which makes it an easy family outing.

Why Jurong Lake Gardens is the right venue
Jurong Lake Gardens replaced the old Chinese and Japanese Gardens and is now one of Singapore’s most family-friendly green spaces. The grasslands, water features and the Forest Ramble play area make it a natural fit for a weekend programme that mixes serious gardening with kids’ nature play.
How to get there
- MRT: Lakeside (EW26) — about a 5-minute walk to the gardens.
- Car park: Multiple lots; arrive early on Saturday morning for the best spots.
- What to bring: Reusable water bottle, sun hat, light insect repellent, eco-friendly bag for any plant purchases.
- Best time: Morning sessions are cooler; afternoon is quieter if you want a relaxed wander.
If you have been meaning to start a balcony edible garden but kept procrastinating, the 13-14 June Gardeners’ Day Out is a low-friction reason to finally show up, grab the seeds, and start.
