Thai Supermarket, the anchor tenant from Golden Mile Complex, has seamlessly transitioned to Aperia Mall, becoming the hub for all things Thai, including fresh produce, condiments, snacks, and more. Notably, Thai Food Street within Thai Supermarket offers a delightful array of culinary delights.
We had the privilege of attending the official opening of Thai Supermarket on 27 June 2023. While the long queues prevented us from sampling the delights at their kiosk, we seized the opportunity during our recent visit to explore the diverse offerings from various kiosks on Thai Food Street.
Good Gai: Thai Fried Chicken
The newest addition to the Thai Food Street is Good Gai, specializing in Thai Fried Chicken with two distinctive flavors—Signature Thai and Signature Hatyai—and two tempting options, Cutlet and Winglets. Remember to eat it fresh for that juiciness!
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 11am to 8.30pm
Folks Collective / Slurp Noodle Bar: A Thai Culinary Pioneer
Folks Collective stands out as one of Singapore’s premier Thai restaurants, recognized for its quality fare and enduring presence in the local Thai food scene.
Renowned for their Isan Yum & Tum raw flower crab, adventurous food enthusiasts should not miss out on this tantalizing experience.
The recent additions to their menu include Pad Mama Tobiko Lava, Royal Kapi Rice, Red Lychee Curry, and Miang Khum. During our visit, we indulged in Pad Mama Tobiko Lava and the flavoursome Boat Noodles.
Wash down your meal with this cute 1L Barbie Pink Nom Yen.
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:30am to 10pm
Talad Thai Banana: Satisfy Your Sweet Cravings
For a delightful dessert or snack, the ever-popular Thai Fried Banana from Talad Thai Banana is a must-try. Expect freshly fried bananas, sweet potato balls, and taro to satiate your sweet tooth.
Opening Hours: Daily, 11:30am to 8:30pm
Yung Yung: Bangkok’s Yaowarat Bread, Reimagined
Drawing inspiration from Bangkok’s Chinatown, Yung Yung brings the renowned Yaowarat bread to Aperia Mall. With a softer and crisper texture, their bread, especially the newly launched Thai Milk Tea flavor, promises a delightful experience. Be sure to eat it while it’s warm.
I anticipate the release of Pandan Custard, a Thai-style kaya, in the near future.
Opening Hours: Daily, 11am to 8:30pm
Thai Yum Mee: A Fusion of Mango Desserts and Thai Salads
Explore the unique offerings at Thai Yum Mee, a kiosk specializing in mango desserts and Thai salads. We recommend trying their Chiang Rai noodle and mango slushie combo for a quick and satisfying lunch or dinner option. While they dub it “Thai-style Bak Chor Mee,” it bears a resemblance to spaghetti bolognese.
Opening Hours: Daily, 10am to 9pm
Next time you visit Thai Supermarket for your Thai grocery needs, enhance your experience by indulging in the diverse range of Thai snacks available at Thai Food Street.
