My New Favourite Hang Out Cafe at East Coast Park

I am one year late. Just found out about Jypsy at Parkland Green last week.

Jypsy is a sub-brand of P.S Cafe, and the menu differs as they offer contemporary Japanese cuisine.

Parking is easy (just right behind and ample parking lots).

Jypsy at Parkland Green provides a calm and relaxing atmosphere, ideal for those wanting to unwind by the beach. Located in East Coast Park, this modern Japanese restaurant serves as a coastal retreat from the busy city life of Singapore.

This is also a pet friendly cafe. The outdoor seating area allows for pet owners to have their meal with their pet.

If you are afraid of dogs or prefer to avoid the humid weather, then indoor will be suitable.

We were there at 6pm. And the place got filled by the time it was 7pm. So, if you plan to visit on a weekend, I recommend you make a reservation.

Let me show you some pictures of the food we ordered.

I notice they have special menu and I think they have something new every month.

But we decided on the fish and chips. The batter was light and the fish was nicely fried.

The obasan sticky beef soft buns is good. Imagine biting into a pillowy, soft bun that has been lightly toasted to perfection. Inside, you’ll find tender, succulent beef that has been slow-cooked until it practically melts in your mouth. Recommended item to order.

Cheese tempura with cranberry ponzu sauce.

You need to eat this in combination or it can be a bit “gelak”.

This combination creates a harmonious balance between the savory cheese tempura and the refreshing, tangy sauce.

    Next up, desserts.

We went with the matcha lava and the yuzu tofu cheesecake.

We actually had high expectations for the desserts as this is a brand from P.S cafe (we love their cakes).

But unfortunately, we find both the sweets slightly underwhelming.

After you are done, you can scan the QR code and make payment directly. Honour system, the staff did not ask to check that we have made payment successfully when we left our table.

It was strange though, that the ordering has to be done via the staff and the system do not allow online ordering.

Overall, I love the location, love the ambience of the cafe. The service is pretty good, but they can be slow to respond due to the lack of manpower from observation.

Food wise, it is not too bad.

I paid about $100 for the 5 items ordered above.

I will visit again if I am in east coast park and I want a nice place to have some snacks and coffee.
