I had an epiphany on day 4… The cafe @ two 70 serves breakfast and lunch…
I have been on this same cruise twice and I am just realising this.
You can have a few lunches. They serve lunch till 4 pm. Ideal for those who wake up late, have a late breakfast and consequently will need to have a late lunch.
The first time I was on Spectrum of the Seas, Jamie’s Italian was perhaps, in my opinion, the poorest restaurant. This time, it was the best.
They changed the menu rather drastically and it worked! This is the new menu.
I loved how open the restaurant was. It looked the same from the first time I visited it. I remember there was a Jamie’s Italian in Forum the Shopping Mall. It ended operations some time ago. I do not think this was something that could be a staple daily. The food is very rich. However, on board a cruise ship this was the perfect indulgence!
I must say, the food was excellent. Everyone in my family enjoyed themselves.
Some sides…
Mains…
This was my vegetarian option. The best vegetarian option I had on board.
As always, there is room for dessert.
Jamie’s Italian is a must-try!
If I had only one restaurant to try on board, Jamie’s Italian would be it. Izumi would be a close second.
I kept going back. I think it is because it is located right in the centre of the foyer.
There was bumper cars on offer. It’s free. Hence the long queue for a mere few minutes of bumper cars. I’d pass but the family wanted to go for a round.
The best show on board was The Effectors. If The Silk Road was a real sleeper (yes I slept very soundly after that snooze fest), then The Effectors was the polar opposite.
Father and daughter were ready for the show.
There was a portion of the show where drones flew above the audience. Was quite a sight.
At the end of the show, the cruise director invited everyone to the back of the ship for a virtual fireworks show.
At first, it looked lame…
But it quickly became a family-friendly disco party.
The 5th day was just disembarkation. It was a disappointment to be going home so soon. Moreover, our disembarkation timing was shifted earlier which meant we lost a few hours on the ship. There was breakfast provided at the Windjammer buffet restaurant.
Royal Caribbean cruises are the pinnacle when it comes to cruises. I tried a Genting cruise but it really cannot compare to what Royal Caribbean can offer. If you are looking for a family-friendly holiday, you must give Royal Caribbean cruises a try.
Yours sincerely,
