Workforce for the Longevity Era: Empowering Every Age to Contribute and Thrive at Marina Bay Sands

As careers lengthen and multi-stage working lives become the norm, the workforce must be reimagined for the longevity era. Ageing Asia, supported by Workforce Singapore (WSG), is hosting a timely conference exploring how organisations and policymakers can unlock the potential of a five-generation workforce.

The session examines how redefining purpose, redesigning work models and workforce strategy, investing in continuous skills development, and embedding age-inclusive practices can help organisations navigate demographic change. Using Singapore as a living laboratory, speakers will share practical models for reskilling, job redesign, and inclusive talent management tailored to evolving aspirations across life stages.

Keynote Presentations

The conference features two distinguished keynote speakers. Mr Mikio Okumura, Group CEO of Sompo Holdings, Japan, will present on Japan’s workforce frontier — covering technology, care innovation and the future of work in the world’s oldest society. Mr Lim Him Chuan, Country Head of DBS Singapore, will speak on leading with purpose in a five-generation workforce, exploring human-centred work and the future of talent.

Panel Discussions

The day includes multiple panel discussions tackling critical workforce themes. The morning session features a panel on “The Longevity Workforce Revolution,” exploring how employers can redesign jobs, skills pathways, and leadership models to remain competitive. Afternoon sessions cover role models driving workforce innovation and the enablers needed to turn longevity ambitions into real-world outcomes.

Panellists include leaders from DBS, Workforce Singapore, Sompo Holdings, Prudential, Adecco, Banyan Tree, EY, and QED Changemakers, among others.
