Uncovering the Truth: Is Uniqlo in JB Cheaper?

Many Singaporean residents often make weekend trips to Johor Bahru, seeking a cost-effective escape from the confines of Singapore. In Johor Bahru, Singaporeans can stretch their budget further, thanks to favourable exchange rates. Activities Singaporeans commonly engage in while in JB include dining, retail therapy, grocery shopping, and enjoying relaxing massages. But what about shopping at Uniqlo?

I am personally a fan of Uniqlo’s products and have made purchases in various countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. From a technical standpoint, it should theoretically be more budget-friendly. Watch the video for the full reveal.

I have a particular fondness for Uniqlo’s Airism Cotton Oversize Crew Neck Half-sleeve T-Shirt. It provides unmatched comfort and a cooling effect compared to traditional cotton fabric. Interestingly, it has earned the moniker “The SG Uniform” due to its popularity among Singaporean men. Given Singapore’s humid climate, we all yearn for clothing that offers comfort and breathability while maintaining a smart appearance.

Surprisingly, acquiring this particular item in Johor Bahru can be pricier than in Singapore. However, I did a quick price check on various Uniqlo items, and fortunately, most products in Uniqlo Johor Bahru come with more wallet-friendly price tags.

So, the next time you find yourself in Johor Bahru, consider paying a visit to Uniqlo. Just be sure to verify the prices and do some mental calculations. Who knows, you might snag a better deal the next time around (if Uniqlo happens to come across this article).
