Good morning. Breakfast with a view.
After breakfast, we are checking out of this hotel and going further south to Aizuwakamatsu.
Along the way, we are stopping by Hanamiya Park (花見山公園). This is a suburban mountain park known for its colorful seasonal floral blooms & sakura cherry.
The park was pretty much in the midst of its peak season. There was a lot of people visiting. Due to the big crowd, we were directed to a far away carpark and have to take a shuttle bus in.
It was a beautiful place and we were glad the weather was kind to us. (although it could have been better. the sky was abit overcast).
We took a quick lunch at a nearby Mister Donut and continued to our next destination.
Kannonji River Sakura
To our dissapointment, we went at the wrong time. It would have been a wonderful sight with the stream and the cherry blossom trees lining up.
Lake Inawashiro
If you are visiting this area, you can also make a quick detour to Lake Inawashiro.
On a clear day, you can catch Mount Bandai in it’s full glory.
There’s really nothing much going on here. Perhaps we were there during the wrong season. You can probably skip this unless you are passing by.
The day was coming to an end so we decided it was time to head for our hotel and rest for the night.
The hotel looks old school but it seem very popular with the locals.
Dinner was included with the stay and it was buffet style. There’s a good selection and the food was yummy.
So that is all for day 4. Good night!
